Terms of use and licence terms

Axion and the website axion-cad.com are provided by LMD Technologies s.r.o., Company ID (IČO) 219 25 780, VAT ID CZ21925780, Farní 728/15, 162 00 Praha 6, Czech Republic, e-mail info@lmd-technologies.cz (“we”).

These terms apply to the website, the free trial version of Axion (“trial”) and the paid plans Start, Plus and Pro bought on this website (“subscription”). Versions tailored to a company are governed by a separate agreement with us.

After registration you receive a free, non-exclusive and non-transferable licence to install and use Axion on one computer for 7 days from activation, for the purpose of evaluating it, including on your own real models and drawings.

The activation key must be used within 14 days of registration. One trial is available per person, company and computer. We may extend the trial at our discretion or refuse a registration.

With a subscription you receive a non-exclusive and non-transferable licence for one user (one natural person) to use Axion on up to two computers for as long as the subscription is paid. The functions of each plan are described on the pricing page. Functions marked “soon” will be added in later versions at no extra charge.

We keep developing Axion and may add functions to plans. We will not remove a function from your plan during a period you have already paid for.

Online purchases are processed by Link, operated by Stripe, acting as reseller (“merchant of record”). Link charges the price shown on the pricing page, which already includes the VAT or sales tax of your country, sends you the invoice and receipt, and handles payments, refunds and disputes under its own terms. We provide the licence, updates and support.

After payment you receive your licence key and download link by e-mail. If you bought from a trial, your trial key switches to the paid plan.

• The subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period (month or year) with the same payment method until you cancel it.
• Before an annual renewal you receive a reminder e-mail.
• You can cancel at any time via the subscription management link in your purchase e-mail or by writing to us. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period; Axion works until then and you will not be charged again.
• If a payment fails, it is retried over the following days. The licence stays valid for 7 more days; if the payment does not succeed, the subscription and the licence end.

An upgrade to a higher plan takes effect immediately; you pay only the price difference for the rest of the current period. A downgrade takes effect at the next renewal. Plan changes are made on request at info@lmd-technologies.cz; your licence key stays the same.

14-day money-back guarantee: if Axion does not suit you, write to us within 14 days of your first purchase and we will refund it in full; the licence is then cancelled. Payments for later periods that have already started are not refunded, but you can cancel the next renewal at any time.

If you are a consumer in the EU, you have a statutory right to withdraw from a contract for digital content within 14 days. By activating the licence you ask for the delivery to start immediately and acknowledge that the statutory right of withdrawal ends once delivery has started; our money-back guarantee above applies regardless.

We may change prices for future periods. We will inform you by e-mail at least 30 days before the renewal at the new price; if you do not agree, you can cancel before the renewal. A price promised for a fixed time (for example to founding customers) stays unchanged for that time.

• sharing the licence key or the licence with others or using it on more computers than allowed,
• circumventing or disabling the licence check, the time limit or other technical protections,
• decompiling, disassembling or modifying Axion, except where the law expressly allows it,
• selling, renting or sublicensing Axion, or using it to build a competing product,
• using Axion in breach of the law or the rights of third parties.

If these terms are breached, we may cancel the licence.

Axion is activated online and then verifies the licence approximately once a day. Without a connection it keeps working for up to 7 days in the trial and up to 10 days with a subscription. When the trial or subscription ends or the licence is cancelled, Axion stops working. What is sent during the check is described in the Privacy policy.

Axion uses the AI provider you choose (Anthropic Claude, OpenAI ChatGPT, Google Gemini or Mistral; in the tailored version also another provider by agreement) with your own API key. Your use of that service is governed by the provider's terms and you pay the provider directly. Questions and the context they need are sent directly from your computer to the provider, not to us.

Axion's outputs (checks, recommendations, models, drawings, calculations and cost estimates) are assistance for engineers. AI can make mistakes. Always verify results before use. Responsibility for designs, drawings and products remains with you and your company.

Your models, drawings and files stay on your computer; we do not receive them. Details are in the Privacy policy.

Axion, its logo and the content of this website belong to LMD Technologies s.r.o. SOLIDWORKS is a trademark of Dassault Systèmes. Other names and trademarks belong to their owners. Axion is an independent product and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Dassault Systèmes.

The trial is provided free of charge “as is”. With a subscription we fix reported defects within a reasonable time and provide support by e-mail according to your plan. We do not guarantee that Axion will run without interruption or errors or that it will suit a particular purpose. Your statutory rights in respect of defects are not affected.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect damage, lost profit, loss of data or damage caused by relying on Axion's outputs, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for Axion in the last 12 months. This does not limit liability that cannot be limited by law, in particular for damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence, or for harm to life or health.

We may update these terms; the current version with its date is always published on this page. Changes that affect an existing subscription apply from the next renewal, and we will inform you by e-mail in advance. You can stop using the trial at any time by uninstalling Axion.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Czech Republic. Disputes will be decided by the competent courts of the Czech Republic. Mandatory consumer protection rights are not affected. Consumers can also turn to the Czech Trade Inspection Authority (adr.coi.cz) for out-of-court dispute resolution.
